Kitchen Remodeling

Cramped
vs Open Kitchen Floor plans
When people think of older
homes in the metro Phoenix area, the first thing they might think
of would be a small out of date kitchen. It's true the valley has
it's share of small cramped kitchens with cabinets that were cheap
in their day and showing their age in unsightly ways.
Kitchen remodeling today
can take your small kitchen and expand it by opening up walls to
the adjoining spaces to create more of an open concept feeling.
You will find that by
remodeling your floor plan in this way will create a kitchen that
will be great for cooking and entertaining. Many of our clients
are analyzed at the difference in how they feel about their home
when they don't feel isolated while they prepare food for family
and friends.
A kitchen with a more
open floor plan will accommodate when company is over, and everyone
finds themselves in the kitchen. When you have an open kitchen floor
plan your family and guests will be able to visit, while not being
crammed into a small unworkable kitchen.
Many of our kitchen remodels
have had kitchens that were so small we couldn't even take a good
before picture. If your home has a cramped kitchen like some of
these did before their expansion, let us show you how your kitchen
can be transformed.
If you
live in Phoenix AZ or the surrounding communities of Scottsdale,
Tempe, Chandler, Ahwatukee,
Gilbert, Glendale and Mesa Arizona
we would love to be of service.

The 1950's ranch home's galley kitchen
remodel had the original cabinets with shelves that could not be
adjusted and drawers that just barely worked.
Besides the obvious new cabinets
and appliances, we created an open concept kitchen that was more
inclusive to family and friends by opening-up the wall between the
living room and kitchen.

This kitchen remodeling project
is a great example of what can be done with a small kitchen addition.
The original kitchen was located in an earlier 1980's kitchen addition
on a historic home in the Willo neighborhood in downtown Phoenix.
It was a box like space just over ten foot square. The cabinets
were the typical oak cabinets that were used so much between 1960
and 1980.
After adding a small addition to
open the kitchen to the family room, we created this modern kitchen
to contrast to their craftsman style historic home. The new open
floor plan is perfect for everyday use and entertaining.

Just off Central Avenue and Northern
this kitchen remodeling project was one of our most extensive examples
of removing load bearing walls. The kitchen area next to the living
room was cubed-up into three rooms with multiple load bearing walls.
This 1960's ranch home
had great bones and a terrific location. We designed an open floor
plan that would give us the space for a modern style kitchen complete
with an island and a great room feel for entertaining.
The beautiful new cabinets,
quartz counter-tops and the colorful glass tile were the finishing
touches for this older home kitchen remodeling update.

The photo illustrates how opening up
a wall between the kitchen and dining room can make the entire space
feel larger and more inviting.
This kitchen remodel included kitchen cabinetry we
designed and built for this custom kitchen.
This kitchen remodel started
with one the smallest galley kitchens we have redesigned and remodeled.
The goal was to create a more modern kitchen that complemented this
home in the Willo historic neighborhood. We wanted to create an
updated kitchen that would also be perfect for entertaining friends.
Our new open kitchen floor
plan is a great example of what kitchen remodeling can accomplish.

This kitchen is a great example
of a mid century modern kitchen remodel.
The kitchen was originally cut off
from the rest of the dining and living room by a cabinet that blocked
the kitchen off from everything.
By replacing the cabinet with an
open island we were able to create a space perfect for entertaining.
This kitchen remodel included new flooring, cabinetry, new glass
wall tile and updated color scheme.
