What is a Green Certified Professional? The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), is a leader in education of all aspects of remodeling for the remodeling industry and the public. As such they conduct a comprehensive training program and testing system for remodeling contractors. NARI has always had the highest standards for business ethics and craftsmanship. It is only natural that they would also set equally high standards in the realm of green remodeling and contracting. There are currently (September 2010) only 111 NARI Certified Green Professionals in the United States. Steve Shinn of Homework Remodels is the only NARI Certified Green Professional in Phoenix Arizona. He is also certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) as a Home Energy Analyst and has completed the United States Green Building Council's (USGBC) Regreen remodeling training.
