1944 Ranch Kitchen & Bathroom Remodel

Our homeowners had recently bought this excellent example of a mid century ranch home. They loved everything but knew it was time to update and open up the extra narrow galley kitchen to the living spaces.

These views of the original kitchen were taken from doorways on either side because of it's narrow shape.

Open Kitchen

This view was taken from the same spot as the preceding photo after opening the kitchen up to the den and creating a great entertaining and family space.

Granite Kitchen Counter Tops

All new cabinetry and breakfast bar have enabled our homeowners to spread out and enjoy their new older home.

Kitchen Laundry Area

A dry bar and a pantry cabinet housing a stack washer / dryer took the place of the original narrow laundry room.

Once a narrow cramped space, this updated kitchen has room for friends and flows into both the dining room and the living room thru two open archways modeled after other archways in the home.

Homeowner Recommendation

Homework Remodels helped me do a home improvement project on my new historic Willo home. I updated two bathrooms and remodeled a full kitchen. Steve worked with me to develop a functional and aesthetic design which included plans to remove walls and build an inviting kitchen. I loved the plan, and work began. Working with Steve and his team from design through all phases was great. They were responsive and focused on the big picture and tiny details. For a fairly significant project - I was very happy with the timeline. I'd recommend Homework Remodels. The finished product is beautiful and has updated my home keeping the charm of old with the functionality of new!
